Hello, my name is Kory Read, and I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. For the past five years, I have been proud to call the incredible city of St. Catharines my home. I am running to replace the inadequate and unqualified Chris Bittle as your Member of Parliament.
I ask for your vote because, as a small business owner, I understand the importance of having leaders who can relate to and address the everyday struggles of the residents they represent. As your representative, I will challenge the status quo and demand accountability from those in power. The current system prioritizes the interests of the elites, leading to inequality and injustice. By advocating for transparency, fairness, and accountability, we can create a more equitable society where everyone is held to the same standards and has equal opportunities for financial success.
My personal experiences and commitment to addressing important issues are valuable assets in driving positive change. They have inspired me to dedicate myself to making a difference in my community and advocating for those in need. Addressing critical issues such as racism, poverty, homelessness, poor healthcare, inadequate education, and job instability demonstrates my strong commitment to improving the lives of others. I am determined to create a meaningful impact in St. Catharines and bring about much-needed reforms.
We all experience moments of realization when we feel disconnected from the rapidly changing world around us. These moments prompt us to reflect, gain perspective, and find our place in the ever-evolving landscape. My self-reflection has led to a better understanding of myself and the world, ultimately guiding me toward a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
I am frustrated, angry, and disappointed by the current state of politics. As a member of Generation X, I have witnessed a very different world in my younger years. The increasing costs of living, poverty, housing, healthcare, and the lack of proper governance are deeply concerning issues that leave many feeling disheartened. Encouraged by my wife and children, I am motivated to advocate for positive change and a better future for everyone.
I have learned the importance of staying informed, engaged, and advocating for necessary changes. Even with limited resources, striving to make a difference in the world is admirable. Stand by your convictions, and don’t be afraid to take action, no matter how small the impact may seem. Your family, loved ones, and friends will be proud of your efforts to make the world a better place for future generations. It’s time for our communities to reclaim our government.

I pledge to donate half of my annual salary in the first year to support aspiring entrepreneurs in my community. By providing grants to those committed to creating purpose-driven businesses, I aim to help individuals launch their ventures and make a broader impact. This initiative has the potential to inspire other businesses to use their resources for local growth, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
I pledge to seek the truth and hold every individual, including myself, accountable for their actions and promises. By asking essential questions, I aim to promote transparency and integrity in leadership, thereby fostering trust and responsibility within our communities. We must all remain vigilant and persistent in our pursuit of the truth for the betterment of everyone.
I pledge to prioritize the needs of my community over activities that do not directly benefit them. By focusing on the well-being and interests of my constituents, I will demonstrate a commitment to public service and the betterment of the community as a whole. My dedication to advocating for the needs of the people I represent is essential for driving positive change and fostering a strong, supportive community.
I pledge to engage with my constituents weekly and make myself accessible for their concerns and ideas. Prioritizing meetings with local individuals shows my dedication to representing their voices and ensures that their perspectives are heard and valued in my decision-making processes. By creating a space for open dialogue and focusing on the needs of the common people, I am fostering a sense of community engagement and accountability in my role as your public servant.
I pledge that my family and I will actively engage with our community, as it is rewarding both personally and professionally. This is a wonderful way to create lasting memories and strengthen relationships with those around us.
